Our Doctors at Bristol Animal Hospital
|Dr. Julie Moenter (with "Hana" and "Chobe")
Dr. Moenter is one of the founding members of Hinesburg Veterinary Associates. She opened Bristol Animal Hospital in 1987. Julie graduated from the Ohio State University in 1979 (yes, she's one of the three Buckeyes in our practice). Julie is not only one of the leaders of our practice, but she has also a leader in organized veterinary medicine in our state. She is past president of the Vermont Veterinary Medical Association. Julie was also a delegate from Vermont to the American Veterinary Medical Association. Julie's forte in practice is surgery. Julie lives in Monkton with two of a few species - cats, dogs, and horses. No, she doesn't live on an ark. As you can imagine, Julie enjoys being at home with her pets but also has a good time skiing and traveling with friends.
|Dr. Betsy Meinhardt (with "Nell" and "Ash")
Dr. Meinhardt has been one of our primary doctors at the Bristol Animal Hospital since 1990. Growing up in Saratoga Springs, New York, Betsy earned her DVM from Purdue University in 1987 and practiced in a small animal hospital in Indianapolis for a couple years before returning to Vermont. Betsy became one of our practice owners in 2007. Betsy enjoys the internal medicine and practice management aspects of practice the most. She lives in Bristol with her husband Kevin, and at times, their son (in grad school) and daughter (a senior in college). They share their home with 2 dogs, "Ash" and "Nell". Betsy enjoys all things outdoors with family, including hiking, camping, skiing, and traveling.
