Traditional Chinese Medicine:  Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs

Dr. Greenberg performing acupunctureDr. Marv Greenberg has been practicing traditional Chinese medicine since becoming certified from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1998.  In 2002, he completed Dr. Boudreaux and Allen's Chinese herbal course.  At times, acupuncture and Chinese herbs replace western drugs, while in other cases they are used as an adjunctive treatment.  His caseload has expanded and has evolved to include almost any issue one would address with conventional western medicine.  These problems addressed by traditional Chinese medicine include but are not limited to:

  • musculoskeletal disease such as arthritis, back and neck pain, intervertebral disk disease, joint pain, and general weakness
  • chronic bladder or kidney disease
  • liver disease
  • allergic disease manifested as skin problems, itching, sinus allergies, and lick granulomas
  • immune system issues such as autoimmune disease and problems caused by immune system deficiencies
  • gastrointestinal disease such as chronic diarrhea and vomiting
  • cancer
