Effective immediately the Animal Hospital of Hinesburg and Bristol Animal Hospital have implemented a few practices to minimize risk of COVID19 exposure to our staff and our clients. We anticipate these measures will be in place until April 18th.
Most importantly WE WILL STILL CONTINUE TO SEE YOUR SICK OR INJURED PETS!
At this time we will not be seeing any preventive care appointments. The exceptions will be any puppy/kitten appointments which need booster vaccinations within a specific time-frame. Please contact us if your pet is due for regular vaccinations and we will work with you to set up an appointment for the future.
We will not be scheduling any non-essential technician appointments such as nail trims.
We will be taking measures to very strictly limit the number of clients into the building except in very specific cases/circumstances. When you arrive for your scheduled appointment you will be asked to call the clinic from your car. A staff member will take a detailed history of your pet-problem over the phone, then come out to your car to bring your pet in for his/her exam. Once a complete exam is performed a doctor or technician will call you to discuss the findings of the exam as well as any recommended diagnostics or treatments. Payments can be made over the phone (we will not be taking credit cards from people to run inside the building) or by cash or check. Lastly, a staff member will return your pet to you in the parking lot.
Medications and products may still be purchased over the phone, then brought out to the car for you by a staff member when you arrive. Due to the disruption, we will be extending our sale of Flea/Tick and Heartworm preventatives until the end of May.
Due to the complications of “curb-side service,” we will not be offering late appointments and will be closing at 5pm Monday-Friday.
